I'm thinking about getting my neck lasered so I dont have to shave it anymore.. I was curious to see how satisfied people were with the results. Does it hurt? Are you happy with it?

i guess you can say it turned out fine. but the process isn't as easy as it sounds for some people (like me). your response to the treatment really depends on your skin type. i'm black, so it took me a bit longer to shop around than most. a lot of the places did not have the necessary equipment to be effective for my skin type..which is considered to be the darkest type. anyone with olive-colored and darker skin is considered to be type IV and the treatments may take longer than others and/or burn your skin if you do not use the correct equipment. everyone will say that their equipment will work with your skin type, but i had to research myself and only go for consultations at places that i knew had the most recent technology for my skin type. .

other than that, i am pleased with the results mainly because i got a really really good price :) it will probably take me 6 treatments or so to get it all, but i love the results so far. a tremendous difference even with the hair that does grow back (softer and more fine).

good luck.

I have had 4 sessions of laser hair removal on my lower legs and let me tell you, its a miracle! I use to have to shave every day, now I shave every few months to grab that stray hair thats still growing. The recommend 6 sessions to get rid of everything completely and its pay as you go. Which is great. I am paying about 400$ a session. Well worth it if you ask me. Check out any AVEDA spas in your area... absolutely wonderful staff/service, they will even give you a walk through and complimentary facial.

I am currently undergoing laser treatment to remove my chest hair and hair on my arms. (1) it is extremely painful. (2) I am not entirely satisfied...but then, my treatment hasn't finished yet. In most instances, your hair growth may become thin...all the hair may not be removed permanently. That may happen only over a very long time period. Fortunately, my deal with the salon is for permanent removal, whatever time it takes. Most salons stipulate the number of sittings.
