Walk the Line... umm I think it was some type of prescription pills. There are a tons more kinds of movies though. Basically almost every singer's life story somewhere along the point. Alcohol is also a drug so probably that new beer movie too.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas!!! That's about two guys who go to vegas with a suitcase loaded with drugs(coke, mesc, adrenaline I think, and much more). Takes place during the 70s and stars Johnny Depp. GREAT movie and hilarious. There's this part where he walks into a hotel with the suitcase and there is a Police Convention in the lobby.

german film, in the 70's, with a young David Bowie on stage too. she becomes a 14 year old prostitute with her boyfriend, both hooked on H. Gripping/ very dark ,realistic settings. film was made from an equally excellent autobiography.
this is a classic read before the movie was even made.
Bought the dvd (new)for £6 in "Fopp" on tottenham Court Rd.
