what do i do?

my dad almost hit me, i dont know if he backed out cause it was wrong to hit me, or if my older brother is still awake, but whatever, what do i do

im going to say that he realised that what he was going to do wouldnt solve anything so he backed off.
you didnt even say what you did to get him so angry.
many girls act like they are pure and innocent and could do no wrong but ive seen many that find ways to push the right buttons on thier parents and they get angry and either hit or find another punishment for the child.
mind you im glad he didnt hit you but if you deserved to be punished then you should be.
you need to find a time when he has calmed down and talk to him or to another about it.
but be truthful in what ever it is that you did wrong, lying and making it seem like your father is the bad-guy is not the right way to go about in life.

The good thing is that he did NOT hit you, maybe he realized that whatever he was mad about this would not be the right solution, maybe when things are calm ask him why he almost hit you? He was obviously very mad about something, do some soul searching to see if you were the cause of that anger. And if your Dad is abusive for real tell a school counselor. What about your Mom tell her too.

luckly he didnt . if he feels bad he will talk to you about it later after he cools down. just let him know that you where scared.
