"Mentha, From Wikipedia refers only to plants".
I cannot find anything on "Mint Tree", everything comes up as Herbs or Plants. However, this site is searchable by *Common Name, *Scientific Name, and by *Symbol.
It should help you much.

Most forms of mint are not trees but herbs and are small, prolyphic plants. The scientific name is mentha piperita. But there are over 3500 species of mint plants, some are not even what you would typically consider to be mint, ie. marjoram and rosemary. Spearmint and peppermint are most common "minty" flavors. However, the tea tree oil may be classified as a mint-not really sure.

That would be "Mentha" for the species. The sub-species name would be added to Mentha such as Mentha Aquatica for "marsh mint or water mint".
