There hasn't been a techno track recorded since the 90's however there's lots of Electronica going around. Techno was a term used to describe a form of electronic music that was easy to dance to but from that spawned new styles primarily trance and hardcore then jungle. Soon enough it became easier to list the genre as Electronica so what was techno stayed techno and the other forms fell under the larger realm of Electronica. Technically anything from The Streets to Moby to Dido to Chemical Brothers falls under the electronica banner.

To find out what's tops in the electronica genre i recommend http://www.ministryofsound.com right now vocal trance and chillout seem to dominate the scene.

The great thing about electronica is that because it's so underground here in the states every artist and song seems new and different. This week according to billboard it's...

Iio-Is It Love?
Pet Shop Boys-I'm With Stupid
Kaskade- Be Still
Goldfrapp- Fly Me Away

I'd check the Ministry of Sound site and see what songs people are talking about also visit http://www.djmag.com and http://www.djforums.com as well.

My faves are as follows..

Galvanize by The Chemical Brothers
Avalon by Juliet
Rock Your Body Rock by Ferry Corsten
Marrakesh by ATB
I Don't Wanna Stop by ATB

man too many to mention.
