because their new scooters SAFFIRE, WAVE and SPIRIT were such disasters. the customers really suffered and created a lot of bad word of mouth for the company, and bad reputation. Chetak was a long, long time ago. today is era of gearles scooters and they realized that they just cannot make a decent quality gearless scooter

When I wemt through all the answers I was touched to the quick.Time was when you had to be in the waiting line for over two years. When a scandal of an advocate from Ahmedabad having eight Bajaj in his name was exposed there was a g reat hullabaloo. When Bajaj turned the tables against his coooaborator Vespa who had to leave India in a gruff our chests swelled. And when he competed with Veespa in overseas market they were on the point of bursting forth.We had a glimpse of what Indian merchants could do if left to themselves. And those were the days of controls, controls and controls.

The market for scooters has reduced or is nil mate. But they have made a big entry into motorbike and other automobile markets.

THEY ARE MANUFACTURING BUT AS DEMAND IS LESS BECAUSE NOW A DAYS THERE IS DEMAND OF BIKE AND ELECTRONICS SCOTTY.
