Sounds like you are trying to get a storage setup. Sata/SATA2 are expensive. Best thing to do is get an external case and install IDE HDD's which are cheap. But not knowing what this is for, post to the site above with the information in detail.

I use a set of pluggable hard drive units where I can plug any harddrive in my system so which ever drives I need are plugged in and the others left out
