crown roast pork. Or tenderloin pork. Have your butcher french a rib roast (pork chops not cut up) where you remove the meat around the bone, stand the roast up, and roll in a circle, fill the center with stuffing and bake. The best.

We always do honey baked ham..its really good and u can usually get them prebaked and ready to go at different places depending where you're from. We have Honey B ham..and Logan's Farms. I also think Ham is cheaper to buy than a turkey. Chicken is good, but it just dont even come close to making me feel Thanksgiving. We eat too often..to eat it on such a special occasion. But thats just my opinion. You could also try fish, but being from the south...that may be something we only do..lol.

You can have pot roast, or a nice glazed ham with pineapple, or even marinated chicken parts, breasts and legs, cooked with small potatoes with lemon juice and oreganoin the oven, or a vegetarian lasagna if you do not want to serve meat for a change. A potage before and a nice chocolate cheese cake for desert... How about that for a change ?

If they're meat eaters, Chicken instead... Or have a good old fashioned barby and have some chicken things, sausages, steaks (etc). That's what we do for Christmas (we don't have Thanksgiving here in Australia)

You can eat ham. Or try a new ethnic food every year. Find your family a tradition that doesn't come from the big bird. It's about being with family anyway, and being thankful, it doesn't matter what you eat.

Tday dinner is supposed to be a celebration. No matter what you have you should be able to enjoy it and to share that enjoyment.
You may want chicken or squab. Ham is good. I like stir-fry with tofu.

We have always had a selection of turkey and ham, so you may want to give ham a go.
