Non corrective contact lenses have to be fit by a professional. It is illegal for just any store to sell them. You have to go to an optical store and be fit by the optician. They are NOT toys and are controlled by law, specifically to make sure they fit right, and so that the wearer gets proper training in the care and use of them. And to try and stop reckless behaviour like trading contacts with others. Don't you realize the dangers of exchanging body fluids ? If you came into my optical store for contacts and I knew you were that irresponsable , I wouldn't even sell them to you.

the days of the wild contacts at the flea market or the mall are gone. eye dr's put a stop to that. ppl were putting saran wrap and plastic crap in their eyes without any warnings and getting eye infections. ppl will do stupid things to look 'different'. hey, I have a wild idea, how bout no body modifications? No tweaks, no changes, just a person without tattoos, peircings, wacky star shaped pupils with orange eyes....oooohh, freaky....
freaky is boring. freaky is wal mart.

I wouldnt do it. There is sooo much that can go wrong as compared to just having cool looking eyes. Things such as infections that can cause blindness. And sometimes your eyeball is not curved round but elliptical. A regular contact can tear the surface of your eye. Like I said, not worth it.

Yea most places, even if they are just for fun, now a days want u to have prescriptions cuz they have all different sizes and all and u dont want ur eyes getting all messed up. I tried that with a bunch of places and i told them that i only wanted them for fun but they still recommend u go get ur eyes checked and all just for safety reasons.

LensCrafters offer colored contact lenses. Whether you’re getting prescription or non-prescription (plano) lenses, by law you must get an eye exam and lens fitting exam before you can order them.
