I personally love the loestrin birth control pills... only catch is remembering to take them. My boyfriend gave me a watch set to remind me to take my pill ever night. The low level of estrogen in the pills I take doesn't alter my moods or make me sick like the full blown ortho tricyclin did. Also if you are young and can't go to your parents I highly recommend checking the internet for a planned parenthood nearest you. They are awesome with helping you make these kinds of decisions.

I used it for 2 years and loved it! Never had any problems. The freedom of not having to think about birth control for a month was good- no daily pills. The Pill can kill women as well, but the numbers are lower for Nuva ring.

I stopped using for cost reasons. My health insurance will not pay for birth control, and in Michigan, the Nuva ring was about $43 a month. Now I have an IUD, pay once for 10 years.

Not smoking alone lowers your chances of serious side effects a lot. The nuva ring is one of the safest so far, so don't be afraid to use it.

that is definetly something you should have discussed with your doctor before deciding to use it. not something you want to mess with.
