Yes, and it seems the older I get the more often it happens. I work on the phone all day and I subconsciously swallow spit down the wrong pipe and start chocking. Then I look like a butt because I am not choking on food or I did not swallowed soda or water down wrong pipe. So when someone says "are you all right, did you swallow some food the wrong way" You sit there looking at them with this stupid expression and debate whether to say yes or to just tell them the truth and see how stupid they think you are.

i have inhaled my personal saliva (no longer recommended) at the same time as my sinuses are draining and that i'm contained in the throes of a few thing exciting (no, no longer that...) and that i'm no longer being attentive to my respiration. yet easily a blocking off of the airway, it truly is choking, can't say that I easily have. Sorry.

Yes, actually I have. Actually, I almost drowned in it. I use to have killer tooth aches on one of my teeth and when Im sleeping at night, Id wake up drowning in spit! It was NOT fun.

Of course. Most people have. This is caused when your epiglottis in your throat fails to close when you swallow. When this happens, the spit goes in your windpipe instead of your throat.

yes, sometimes gags can be a hinderance to a persons saliva and if you have well let's just leave it as yes instead of going into gross descriptions and all.
