There is more than a touch of irony that our president who is pushing so hard for more liberal use of torture is a born again Christian. Thank God he is not some barbaric atheist.

I saw a cartoon of Pat Robertson wearing a t-shirt that said,
"Who Would Jesus Assassinate?" I couldn't help but laugh even though I am a follower of Christ. I wasn't required to forfeit my sense of humor at baptism. Thank goodness.
Jesus was so much wiser than many contemporary believers. He stayed out of the politics of his day. His followers tried to drag him into it; tried to get him to lead a rebellion against the Romans and declare himself King of the Jews. Didn't happen.
Jesus wouldn't torture, assassinate, bomb or attack anyone. Satan doesn't either; we humans seem to keep it going very well on our own.

The word of God tortures some people every time they hear it. The sword of the Spirit is the weapon that Christians use. In the Bible, war is mentioned and how in different battles, God wants you to win (meaning kill your enemy) if you act like his people. It's Ok to fight for your country and torture is a part of war. I don't believe in doing sadistic things to people but if you ask someone a question and say "if you don't answer I'm going to hurt you", and they don't answer, it must not be pain or torture to them.

Torture away! I think he is a little sick of trying to please people so now hes going to do what he feels is right and will save Americans lives. I know if I was in his situation I wouldn't give a crap what anyone thought. Has he always made good decisions? No, but he has done his best for going through one of the worst attacks on US soil. If past presidents would have done their jobs instead of worrying about political popularity, maybe we wouldn't be in this war on terror. We can put blame on so many people but its just so much easier to put blame on the person in office when the stuff hit the fan.

Oh come on give me a break, first do you even believe in Christ if the answer is no, then don't worry about what he'd do. If you answered yes then let me say this, Jesus was not of this world, and we are to be Christ-like, as hard as we try we would never come close to his perfection. But I'm sure you don't even believe in him anyways so don't worry about it.

If Bush was more virtuous he wouldn't have invaded Iraq in the first place.

Nothing has caused more pain, abuse, anguish, suffering and death than religion, so Jesus would be a good one to ask for experience.

Jesus would torture Satan. (verbally, or otherwise)

Would it qualify as torture if he hurt his feelings and chipped away at his self-esteem?
