i doubt i'll get it but it would be sick if i had it. the fact that the controller is a remote control is awesome. i just wish DDR could work on it.

It should be good. It has full backwards compatability with NES SNES N64 and GC (GC includes even the ability to put in GC CDs and play them)!
The controller looks cool for some situations, but luckily the Wii DOES come with ports for GC-Style Controllers, as well as a great possibility of mimmicking XBox and having the same controllers -- only wireless.
THIS is cool, because if Wii takes off well, they will get more titles than GC did. GC is a VERY good system -- in many respects better than XBox and much better than PS2, but it just doesn't have any games for it. Wii will be alot better than XBox360, and a lot cheaper than PS3, with possibily better gameplay (again.)
You start adding in the real big games into the equation and you'll find yourself an EXTREMELY versatile system -- with the ability to use the old controller style and the new Remote.
So, for now, we bank on the sucess of "Zelda - Twighlight Princess" and "Super Smash Brother's Brawl" to start the system off right! I hope they can break Sonys domination on the games market here and get some great games onto Nintendo.
PS -- About DDR, who says it wouldn't? I don't even know if there is a DDR for GC (havnt' looked) but if there isn't it is simply because the people creating games don't think it would make enough money. I'm positive that if Wii does well enough, DDR, Guitar Hero, and similar games will be popping up everywhere.

I've always hated playing fps games on pc especially, the controllers slightly better on consoles, but I hate being slow and the somewhat clunky/slow controls.
I think the Wii controller will be awesome for that. Does anyone remember the video where they show how the Wii controller can be used? Sports games, music games (I remember one where you can be a conductor), fps, and games like Zelda: Twilight Princess.
The Wii will be my first console for "next" gen. I hope Nintendo develops some really cool games for it.

The only cool thing I know about it is the controller which feels like a tv remote apparently. But, I did like that video I saw with the girl in the hot pants - she's just peppy!

yea it looks great the size of the console is realy small to ive pre-orderd mine not only are the grafics great is cheep at only £180 it comes out on the 9th of december but it sounded better being called the nintendo revolution rather than the wii but o well if u wanna find out more info go to www.gamespot.com

The Nintendo Wii reminds me of a arcade machine, you know that you can actually interact and BE in the game.

I always like the futuristic pure look. Like What was portrayed in Halo. Yes, I think it looks very nice.
