Canadian GPA tops up at 4.3
American GPA tops up at 4.0

If I am Canadian and I'm applying for a American University how would I make the conversion from Canadian GPA to American?

Can you give an example of a Canadian school that tops out at 4.3?

Most Canadian and American graduate schools use the following system
A = 4 (A+ is usually not offered, and where it is, it is also classed as a 4)
A- = 3.7
B+ = 3.3
B = 3
B- = 2.7
C+ = 2.4
C = 2
etc

I have been on admission committees and graduate advisory committeees at several North American Universities and as a biochemistry professor for 30+ years, I saw transcripts from Universities all over the world and where letter grades were offered, we applied OUR classification.
