I worked with inmates, my husband still does (we use them as firecrews) and I'll tell you right now all are Innocent and all have found god. There are no strings to pull, there's only an early release for good behavior.....

You didn't mention two things. First, that he innocent and was wrongfully convicted. Second, that his crime was so minor that long term incarceration is unjust. If he was guilty and he broke a law that is considered a good one for the protection of general society, then why in the world should he be let out early? I know it is hard on you and your kid, but if you do the crime, you should do the time. If he didn't consider the consequences of his actions before he committed the crime, that's a sign of either immaturity or general stupidity. And 'finding God' is irrelevant. I'd bet most everybody in prison has said they have repented and found God to a loved one or a parole board.

All people find GOD when they are in Prison, and as soon as they are out...guess what, they don't remember GOD...but good luck and hope your man does change..but if not don't be a fool and let your child know his dad, seeing him and visiting his daddy, behind bars...I would never deal with anyone that goes to jail..I would drop him...
