I have the Speedsystem modem given to me from SBC and a Linksys router. My wireless card is built into my Dell laptop.

It seems that every Sunday or so my wireless connection gets dropped. The only way to get it back up and running is to unplug the router, reattach the ethernet cable back to the laptop then replug in the power cord to the router. Sometimes I must reboot the modem to get a wireless signal.

I could be on it one minute and off of it the next. Also Ive noticed that my speed drops also from 54.0 to 1 back to 54.0.

Wireless connections frequently die out- and of course they are subject to interference from things like 2.4Ghz cordless phones, other wireless networks (like next-door neighbors) and sometimes even Microwave ovens. Having to reboot the router once a week isn't unusual. I have to reset my Linksys wireless router about once every 4-5 days.

Could be signal interference. Any other wireless networks, cordless phones, or microwaves around?
