Why would you want to get rid of the snails? They will help you keep the pond clean. The snails are algae eaters and are a good indicator of the health of the pond. If the snails get too abundant, You can hand pick them out but the more the merrier the pond will be health wise.

Actually the snails may be keeping the pond clean and getting rid of them may harm the fish. Thats why people put snails in thier fish tanks.

I have heard that if you put a little bit of beer in the bottom of a semi-deep cup(like one or two inches) then dig a hole, place the cup in where the snail will fall in the cup, but can't get back out. The beer dissolves the snail. Salt dissolves snails too.
