With me the cramping got worse. When I first started I had bad cramps (lower back, stomach, leg) as I got older it started going away. As I got into my 40's the stomach & lower back cramps are coming back worse then when I was a kid. Plus I'm fortunate enough to have hot flashes as well.

Yeah, the 40's were not great, but the 50's are good again.

My periods got heavier and lasted longer from age 45 to 50, but now seem lighter and definitely less frequent. I never had hot flashes though, I just got hot in 2003 and haven't cooled down yet!

Wow, now I have all the other good stuff to look forward to.

Actually, I really don't mind getting older even with all the changes that are going on, I try to keep busy, stay optimistic and have fun.

Irregularity! Mine have always been every 28 days - so regular I could mark my calendar for the year and know exactly when my period was coming. Now, at age 47, they seem to come whenever they please and may last 3 days, and one month I had constant light bleeding for 15 days! This is driving me up the wall!
