Ok, you always hear of Bush and what a BS job he's doing, Rumsfield and whatever his issues are, Condee and what she does... but where is Cheney? Huh, isn't he the VP? What is he doing besides agreeing with Bush on any and everything to keep his seat until the next election?

Cheney has had a bad heart since he was in his 30's and has had something like 4 significant operations, He was told NOT to be in situations that cause distress or could affect his heart. So he is in effect, phoning in his instructions for running the country. Also, after 9/11, at any given time several members of the cabinet ( enough to make a quorum ) are in exile so if the president and/or the V.P. are taken out, they ( Republicans and the military ) can keep a skeleton government running during a crisis without a procedural challenge to who is in charge.
