The intuition within suggests something, and the logical mind is unable to analyse it, even inspite of trying out various permutation and combination, using all its analytical skills, etc, and therefore frames a question , as a last resort, to keep the unsolved thing , in the uppermost layer of mind, and sends out signals to brain to search for an answer, whether within or outside... It is the expectation to find an answer that makes a person go mad. This expectation, even poses an hurdle .. obstructing the 'openness of mind' to just look at a possible answer without prejudice !

A question is the by-product of intellectual dissatisfaction, and for most people the only equitable resolution for the irrepressible curiosities of their state of mind. A quest for knowledge in the it's absence, a need to elaborate one's own mentality, and an indication of one's capacity to learn. If one can pose a question freely that means he or she is aware that they have much to learn and that they are willing to be taught.
