I'm afraid Bush will do something really stupid right before his term is over.
Something that would make the new president's job hell.
He really has screwed everything up for himself, but he can do a lot more stuff that is a lot more worse.

I'm worried about Surfergirly's answer. Does she mean that President Bush literally rules, like a king. That's something that a few sensible people have been trying to prevent. On the other hand does she mean it in a teen age slangy way to suggest that there is something really good about him? That's scary too. He'll go quietly if a Republican is elected. If a Democrat is elected he'll probably find some way to have the election declared an act of treason and send everyone who voted against him to various countries to be tortured.

No, I doubt that very much. I will say this though. He certainly will not go out with the "Clinton Bang" of selling amnesties to the highest bidder and pocketing so many odd items at the White House with the attitude that they belong to the Clintons. And if Hillary wins in 2008 then that gives her a chance to redeem herself by returning all the items that they pocketed back when they (notice I said THEY) left office.

There really isn't anyone on the Republican side other than Giuliani or maybe McCain at this time who I think could win nationally. The hardest part for those guys would be the primaries...

I think it'll be Hillary. Bush will gladly step down. He doesn't run the machine. He's just a part of it.

Well, he really has no choice in the matter, his eight years will be up, so he will go peacefully. Then the new president will take HIS position. If you are thinking Hillary, good luck, it's not going to happen. She can run, but she'd just be wasting her time.

why would he go kicking and screaming when he can't even run for a third term? He will be going out telling us to vote republican so that they can continue where he left off.

He will want us to stay the corse in Iraq but he will see that even republicans will want to start getting our troops out but even that will never truely happen since we will have to largest US embassey in Iraq and a permanent base there as well. So, little half Iraqi kids will be running around if they aren't already.

He'll probably be glad to get out of the hot-seat. I feel sorry for anyone who becomes president of this country. Who would want a job where you become the target of hate for so many millions of people, simply by trying to do your job? Somebody, somewhere, is going to despise you, no matter what you do.

Well according to our Constitution, Bush cannot become president again unless he is elected vice-president and then the president dies. Bush will whine and moan like the pussy that he is, but then he will retire to Texas and spend his remaining years being worthless, not unlike hus current presidency.
