I see this same question so much that I just typed it in the search box & this question has been asked 38,616 times!
There should be a category just for this.
Don't get me wrong. I understand that girls are nervous and want reassurance & to hear other people's experiences. I was just curious to see how many times this had been asked.
Is anyone surprised by this number?

I totally agree, sometimes young girls or so forth just need some reassurance. Maybe they have some insecurities about their life about certain situations. They just need someone to pay attention to them and be there for them, even if is only through a question, for five minutes. They feel better about themselves. I think we could all spare five minutes for someone in this busy world that just needs a shoulder to lean on. We aren't doctors but we all obviously make great listeners. So there should never be any ridicule or shame to any question no matter how often it is asked - someone needs someone and everyone at one point in time should respect that.

No, I am not surprised. Education about your body is not always the best topic taught to kids, so sometimes you're left looking for answers.

The internet is a great way to get that information now without the embarrassment of asking face to face.

I am not surprised. This is the type of question that people may not ask their immediate family or friends about as they may not want to let them know until sure.

Yes! Good point. I was thinking about this also.
Whenever I see it in the questions list, I just think "How are WE supposed to know?!". Just take a test, or wait 9 months and see what happens!

People who engage in conduct that makes them wonder at every turn if they are pregnant, need to get educated beFORE they engage in these behaviors. It's sad but I am not surprised.

No, not at all! With all of the contraception that is available today, it is still unfortunate that the question still stands in the minds of so many careless people...

I think it's young women with their first time pregnancies. Once you get to the second pregnancy you pretty much know the routine.
