I have an older brother that still looks at me like a child, and probably always will.He never made any efforts to me until I had my first daughter when I was 21.She was born with pneumonia, and flown to a different state and put into nicu.We didnt know if she was going to live or not,and all the sudden the nurse said my brother was there. He drove 7 hours with his wife to be there for me.My point is that when things get rough, your brother will be there even if hes the last one you expect.Always tell him you love him,and let him know that you realize how serious this leave is and tell him you want some precious time with him and let him know no matter how hard it is,you love him and let him know its hard for you to see him go.Make this a heartfelt moment so he knows your serious and you really do love him, he will always remember that and so will you.god bless him for what hes doing, and I will pray for his safety

Well what i did when i was your age is i would write a letter and give it to him asap before they leave this way they have to respond to everything that you said in the letter and he might even kiss ur forehead or give ya a hug after he reads that letter.
It doesn't have to be a long letter it could be a few sentences like...
example:
i love you. and i never say it much but i have to before you go cause i don't know when is the next time i will see you. Be safe and here is a pic of me.
PS most of my sisters, father, brothers, cousins, have served in the Army, Navy, Marines.

Walk up and hug him and tell him bye. No matter how you think he feels about you, let him know you love him and will miss him. Besides what 19 year old haven't tried to ditch their younger sister or brother?

Just go up to him and tell him you love him and you don't want him to get hurt and ask him if it is ok for you to write to him while he is over there believe it or not he is scared of what he is about to do so just tell him
