somebody will say Mr.Bush and there is some basis for it. As Governor of Texas , Texas led the nation in excutions and Mr Bush was quite proud of it. This torture issue, why do CIA need protection from being charged with war crimes if indeed they are not torturing prisoners??? I'm sure there are worse, but this is my country and MR Bush is my President of my country and this is of most concern to me.

Islom Karimov of Ubzekistan is the most corrupt, most authoritarian, and most brutal to his own people of any current world leader. He is guilty of disappearing any who critique him or his policies. He believes that anyone who is Muslim is a fundamentalist terrorist in a nation that is 88% Muslim, and has anyone convincted of being one, a Muslim that is, jailed indefinately. He tops the list of nearly every human rights watch for crimes against humanity, and was facing great international pressure until 9/11 when his country suddenly became important for the invasion of afghanistan, and a blind eye was turned to his policies in exchange for the right to house military bases on Ubzeki soil.

Bush hasn't committed THAT MANY brutalities against his own people (though for a U.S. President he holds the record!), but it is obvious that he is planning to. Have you read the Military Commissions Act that just passed? You can be tried, detained, and tortured indefinitely for any/no reason without a warrant or a trial!

Few of those brutal authoritarian dictators pretend to be freedom-lovers and defenders, like ol' Dubya.

This is a bit offtopic, but I expect many people will say Hitler, because he killed 11 million people in an event called The Holocaust.

It's interesting to note that Stalin killed 15 million people.

It's even more interesting to note that an estimated 150 million African-Americans died on American slave ships.

So, rethink that whole Jewish holocaust thing. I'm not saying it wasn't evil and terrible, of course it was, but there have been much worse holocuatss in history.

Mugabe of Zimbabwe is up there, but there are so many to choose from. Take a majority of the leaders of the African countries and that should include most of the dictatorial and destructive types.

Pol Pot of Camboidia and Edi Amin Of Uganda get my vote.

If you answer Hitler that's just lazy. He was bad but he stayed true to his vision, As wrong as it was.

And if you answered George W. Bush you are truly a stupid A$$!!! Open a history book dummy.
