Well I dunno what kind of 70's music you are into..

If you like hard rock try Zeppelin(any of them) , Aerosmith (Rocks is a great album ...so is Toys in the Attic), Queen (A Night at the Opera is amazing), or something of that sort.

If you are into progessive stuff, try Yes (On the Edge is great, so is Fragile ) or basically any Pink Floyd.

If you like Glam, try David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust or Alladin Sane) Iggy Pop, or T-Rex..

And if you are into some of the early pre-punk sort of stuff..try The Clash (I like London Calling) , The Stooges (try Raw Power) or similar.
And then there are always the Rolling Stones, ( I recommend Sticky Fingers, and Let it Bleed )

Good Luck!

P.s. I'm in my teens and i also am mainly into 60's and 70's stuff...I agree...it is better......

The 70's is my least favorite decade of the rock era (The '60s and '90s are my top favorite decades), however I believe I can recommend some great gems since because of the sheer volume of music from that decade there had to be some great stuff – and there was. OK, you’ve got to take time out now to check these songs out (this is from someone who is really critical of that decade):

Disco:

Let's all Chant - Michael Zager Band (1978)
Born to be Alive - Patrick Hernandez (1979)
I Like Love - Norma Jean (1978)
Rock the Boat - The Hues Corporation (1974)
Night Fever - The Bee Gees (1978)

R&B:

Rocking Chair - Gwen McCrae (1975)
Don't tell Your Mama (Where You Been) - Eddie Floyd (1970)
Don't ever be Lonely (A Poor Little Fool Like Me) - Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose (1972)
Every 1's a Winner - Hot Chocolate (1978)
Stoned Love - The Supremes (1970)

Rock:

Video Killed the Radio Star - Buggles (1979)
Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo - Rick Derringer (1974)
Girls Talk - Dave Edmunds (1979)
Alone again Or - Love (1970)
Black and White - Three Dog Night (1972)

Hint: Napster allows you to hear these songs in their entirety on their site. Go there now and see if you don't agree that these are outstanding songs!
