a mole is simply a NUMBER. Just like a "dozen" stands for 12, a (one) mole stands for ~6.02 x 10^23 units of whatever you want to talk about. So when someone asks you what is one mole of uranium, you can say it is ~6.02 x 10^23 atoms of uranium. And of course, there are other ways you can use moles. For example, one mole of uranium is equal to the atomic weight of uranium, in grams.

You must learn the concept of a mole thoroughly to understand chemistry. Once you get it, you will never forget it.

a mole is just a way to call a number, in this case being 6.023*10^23, its like calling the number 12 a dozen or 144 a gross. The weight of one mole of uranium is just its element mass

moles are the minuscule units used to meaesure the atomic mass of an element. Ex. atomic mass of H(hydrogen) is 1 mole. Therefore, uranium being a "heavy metal", 1 mole is going to be less than one molecule of the element. Simply take the atomic mass, turn it into a fraction of 1 over the atomic mass, and you have the amount of a molecule of uranium would be 1 mole.

Most Uranium is U238, so there are 238 grams per Mole. The fissionable Uranium is U235, so it has 235 grams per Mole.

1 mole of Uranium contains 6.022 X 10^23 atoms. The atomic mass of an element is the mass of 1 mol of that element.
For example, 16g (atomic mass of O) contains 6.022X10^23 atoms of oxygen in it and hence is called 1 mole of Oxygen

A mole is a unit...just like grams is a unit. It's to describe how much there is basically. What a wear word huh?
