13 to get the messenger, and possibly 18 to do the actual chatrooms. I'm not sure the latter is an issue though, anymore, since they took down the website-based chatting.

The Terms of Service sets no lower age limit (but I think that you can't set up an account - without lying - unless you are 13).
It says that certain areas may contain adult content and that you can't access these till you are 18.

most of them you probally have to be at least 16 but there is alot of adult ones to where you have to be 18
