how come when people say "i think im gay, what do i do??" and like freak out, other people always say it's okay, you should be comfortable with the way you are. i mean, god made 2 sexes for a reason. babies can't be made by 2 men or 2 women! i mean, what makes them think they're actually a good match for a person of the same gender? again, this is a serious question and i don't mean to offend anyone. thanks!

You are very confused! But it seems to me that is part of your nature and it will never be curable!

I personally find this question quite offensive - my theory on life is that you can't knock anyone or anything until you try it - then you have the right to judge/criticise (if that's the kind of person you are). God may have created people (if you believe that and you think that the bible doesn't contradict itself the whole way through) and it's the same God who said he will love and accept everyone but hey... without religious prejudice, where would we be in the world?
It's not a choice for people to be gay. If it was, do you think people would subject themselves to criticism, spite, prejudice and hatred? If you honestly think it's a choice then you must have a pretty twisted outlook on life.
Babies are made every second of the day to parents that don't want them YET it is SO difficult for a same-sex couple to adopt a child - once again I ask, do you think that people would CHOOSE the difficult path in life?
You can't help who you fall in love with - some people are attracted to intelligent minds while others will simply "settle" with the person out of necessity (harsh but you know it's true). If the person you fall in love with happens to be a person of the same sex then you know within yourself that the road ahead will be a difficult one filled with obstacles that would not be there if you were in a male/female relationship.
I think you would be surprised at how many gay men donate their sperm to help "straight" couples have children when there are no other options. Because you are gay doesn't mean you won't have children and you won't help the world overpopulate. Gay couples have the same yearnings as straight couples - they want to settle, have the house, the cars, possibly the kids and a happy existance - society is slowly accepting this but there is still a lot of shunning when it comes to a gay couple.
One thing to ponder is - why is it more acceptable to be a lesbian than a gay man?
It annoys me that people like you think it's "wrong" to be gay and have a fulfilling relationship with someone of the same sex - chances are that their relationship will prosper because they are comfortable with who they are and are happy within themselves, therefore they can offer more to their partner and continue with their lives.
And as for HAVING babies - I know a LOT of straight couples who have decided not to have children due to the cost of living and having another person in their lives.
Before you judge, have a think about how difficult life is for those who cannot choose their sexuality and how many hurdles they need to jump over before they can do simple things like purchase a house together, raise a family together, find out medical information at hospitals (they're not recognised as family, therefore there are no priviliges and no information disclosed about the patient) and either adopt or find a donor so they can have a child.

When was the last time you were pregnant? Just because a couple can't reproduce without a little help, doesn't mean they can't be together. Infertility, anyone?? And people have sex all the time, but not to get pregnant. They do it for pleasure. How many people in this country use birth control?

If you feel attracted to a specific gender, you can't help it. I could never be with a man. That idea of sex disgusts me. (So yes, I'm a lesbian)

Ever hear the phrase "love is blind"? Well, it's also deaf and dumb. Love doesn't see gender or color or anything like that.

Okay, so then why did god create babies with xxy and yyx chromosomes? Are you saying that god did not create the many genetic variations of the sex chromosomes? How come some people are born with blonde hair and it turns brown to black as they age? Why are some people born infertile? Why do others choose not to have children? Why do you experience the emotions you do? Why are you attracted to the people that attract you? Do you think god's plan is to birth some babies who could have very happy and fulfilling lives and then require them to live lonely lives hating themselves just because the sexual orientation they were born with does not meet your ideals? Open your eyes and take in the world. It extremely diverse and all of it is natural.

PS - only people who are not gay claim it a choice. Maybe they feel so strongly because they are bi-sexual and for them it actually is a choice.

Yes this question is offensive. I'm bi myself. It's not a choice. I have alway been atracted to both sex. Also remember we aren't asking all of mankind to be gay or bi. Who I sleep with only effects the people I sleep with no one else. So why should you care. Also by the way. I'm a Christian. Jesus died for a reason. You judge us for being gay or bi. Well, the last time I checked it's a sin to judge others too. That's God's job.

God didnt make me, my parents did. And there are many straight couples that dont want babies are they doing something wrong by having sex without the intention of having children? How many straight couples do you know that have ended in a breakup or divorce? I am sure it is a lot. Just becuase one is a man and the other is a woman, doesnt mean its a good match either.

You cant help who you are. If you are attracted to someone of the same sex, its natural. Accept it and enjoy it. Hopefully the rest of the world will become enlightened enough to realize we arent all from the same right-wing christian cookie cutter and we dont have to be.

So by saying this is a serious question and you don't mean to offend anyone it is OK to ask it? Is that what you are going to say to god when you have to answer the question of why you are judging other people?

Homosexuality is in all life - animals, birds, and yes, humans. I've never been attracted to men. I enjoy their friendship and I like hanging out with my male friends. However, when it comes to intimacy, love, that "butterflies in the stomach" feeling - I get with women. I'm drawn to them. I cannot explain it anymore than you or anyone else can. It's life. It's biology. It's just the way it is. Quit wasting energy in trying to figure out a question that others have spent years and tons of money to answer. There is no answer. It's life.

If you don't mean to offend the people in the section then you shouldn't be positioning questions that are clearly showing your hate. You should stop living your life through a book full of beliefs instead of GOD's real words. So stop hating and start looking towards the future of change instead of living in your world of hate.

The human race is nowhere near going extinct with the population over six billion and climbing at a fantastic rate. I'm guessing you only have sex at the optimal time for fertilization.
It's the bigots like you that cause this world to be evil by spreading hate . Your not so stupid that you think people choose their sexual preference, so you think they should be celibate for a lifetime. News flash gays, are born to straights and I hope you get one of your own.
