based on what it says.. It means to appreciate what you have in life and enjoy it without discontentment for it is obedience when you do.. Bottom line.. submission and dependence on Him who supplies all your needs.

Great and Amazing blessings are given from the gift of free will , so I should not push aside, or send away, anything for the universe revels when I am happy, abundant, spiritual, or some other form of bliss, and to feel glee, in and of itself, is to live by this law.

it means that human nature causes us to not listen when we don't get anything for oneself but, we will when we do get what we want.
or in other words god is praised when he does good for you but despised when he doesn't.
