The bible does not say though shalt not kill. It says though shalt not murder. Going back to emperor Constantine the bible promotes killing for good purposes. Why are you rewriting the bible? Is that just another satanist liberal trick to lie about what the bible says?

An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also; and if any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak as well; and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to him who begs from you, and do not refuse him who would borrow from you. You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." (Matthew 5:38:45 RSV)

' When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed; this must take place, but the end is still to come. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. This is but the beginning of the birth pangs (Mark 13:7-8 (Words of Jesus in red.)'

A true Christian is supposed to be a believer in Christ and a believer in Christ is supposed to follow his teachings and Jesus gave no one permission to take another person's life, gave no one permission to murder or kill!

There is very little Christian about conservative Christians.

That said, I suppose I'm not a good Christian either because if someone were trying to kill me or my family or my friends I'm going to fight back.

In the name of Christ, Catholics slaughtered people for 600 years in this hemisphere. That's why people speak Spanish and English-- the slave languages for everyone, even the serfs in Europe where this language dominated. Christianity was big business back then and nothing has changed, just the accents and the location of power. They're not finished yet so keep your head down and speak up like you're doing. Fascinating question, thanks.

Conservative Christians often like to forget about what Jesus said about loving thy neighbor when they spew venom at Democrats.

No one is "allowed" to kill anyone really, it's against the law. But I consider myself a christian and if someone threatened me or my family in a life or death situation you best believe i'd kill.

There are times all throughout the Bible God called His people to defend themselves against their enemies.
At least if Christians do kill it is for Righteousness. Not to Convert as with Islam, not for Convenience as with Abortion.
But to protect Righteous, Peaceful and Free people from harm.
God called for the destruction of whole Nations due to their sin, remember Sodom and Gamorrah?

you are absolutely right. the bible also says "judgement is minesayeth the Lord." What christians are you talking about? Although Jesus can forgive them, I would seriously question their christianity. Then again, judge not.

They rationalize it away by saying things like "everyone sins", and "nobody's perfect but god/jesus". This works for making money too.
Pure hypocrisy in action.
