Yes I know my computer is an oldie but I did an up grade to XP from 98 and it uses 2.99 gigs and my hard drive is 3 g's So I put a 20 gig hard as a slave and I want it to be used, hell I can't even defragment theres only 4% space left HELP!

you will have to save documents, files, etc in the 20gb drive
you know, it would be better if you set the 20gb as the master drive and install windows on that one

Well as long as you have the Operating system on the 2nd drive, you can change the Cable to the secondary drive to boot from it and the use the smaller drive to the back up. Open ur comp up and see the 2 inch wide grey calbes, one will say master the other will say slave, just reverse them. and try booting it from there. if It does not work them you must make sure that all of the master files are copied to the larger drive then give it a try again..
