I am doing my Chartered Accountancy (CA) here in Pakistan. I'm planning to go UK for my higher studies. I want to continue my CA there, I've mailed the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales (ICAEW) they have
responded me back and have said that they do recognize Pakistan's degree.

Now, I want to ask ..
What step I have to take next, how to apply in an institution in UK?
Do you know about any good institute there offering CA?
Is IELTS mandatory for studying in UK or USA?

(I can google myself so if you are doing copy paste stuff then better you leave this question unanswered.)

I hope I this could help you, at least a bit..

If you're planning to sit for professional papers, you may choose either ACCA or CIMA. Where ACCA is mainly for financial accountants and CIMA is for management accountants. Of course, when you graduated as a chatered accountant from UK, you will be registered under ICAEW, same goes if you done CPA papers in Australia. It depends on the institution which award you that qualification.

In your situation, I guess you really want to further your studies in the UK. Congratulation, because you already done your brilliant first step by asking the relevant institution. Keep on track with them, they'll assist you.

Regarding to IELTS, yes, it is a must for a student to pursue higher education in UK. Besides IELTS, TOEFL and other Cambridge or Oxford Certificates in Proficiency in English are equivalent. Please take note that, you need to score at least band 6 overall or better because it is a must for business or law students. But, if you're willing to take up English classes in UK, that's not a big deal, your institution will help you to find them.
