It's not so much what's cool now, it's what you think is cool. Here's some advice... I do this. Keep your colors similar, but not the same. For example, have a dark blue bed spread but light blue walls, or orange sheets and yellow walls. You get the idea? Then, throw in one color that is not really related. My room for example... I have cherry wood furniture, cream sheets, a chocolate colored comforter, and a green plant on my dresser. It may sound weird but it does work.
If you still need ideas, look thorugh decorating mags, watch While You Were Out, Trading Spaces, DYI network... they always have good stuff. Have fun.

well u should do something that u like not what everone else likes otherwise you may not like it and end up changing it next week so i decided that i would do my favorite color with a little style in it

You should make it comfortable. Whatever makes you happy, makes you feel good. Whatever colors you like. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks if they see it & don't like it, as long as you are happy.
