I have over 100,000 songs in my collection so I'll be more general since I'm past the phase of "Favorite Artist". I'll talk about genres.

If I like a sufficient amount from a genre it’ll be in the list below. I’ll rank the genres based on how often I listen to them as compared to others in this list. Some of these may be sub-genres and they’ll always be shown as lesser than the major genre that they fall under simply because the major genre has more to offer (such as other sub-genres within that major genre–Case in point: Goth is a sub-genre of Alternative rock and Alternative Rock is a sub-genre of Rock in general). So the last genre listed gets my attention occasionally whereas the first genre on this list gets the lion’s share of my attention. There are some genres that I like a lot, but have only heard a limited number of songs. Consequently, I’ll rank those lower even though I may absolutely love the few songs that I’ve heard (Zouk is an example). OK? Here’s my list in rank order:

1. Rock
2. Alternative Rock
3. Doo-Wop (50's and 60's vocal groups)
4. Soul (50's into the 70's)
5. Rhythm & Blues (mostly 40's into the 70's)
6. Grunge
7. Synth Rock
8. Psychedelic (60's in particular)
9. Punk Rock
10. New Wave
11. Folk
12. Europop
13. Classic Rock
14. Disco
15. Surf
16. Funk
17. Blues
18. Rap
19. Rap Rock
20. World Music
21. Goth
22. Techno
23. Reggae/Ska
24. Reggaetón
25. Jazz (20's and 30's pop)
26. Big Band (40's pop)
27. Heavy Metal
28. Zouk
29. Country
30. Cumbia
31. Zydeco

I listen to most type of music just not country music. It depends on my mood. Jazz and Classical, R&B when I'm relaxing, Alternative, Rock, Heavy Metal when I want to be active(working out at the gym).

I really enjoy the Barenaked Ladies. They sing a variety of songs and there just nonsense. Their actualyl men, (Remember, the name is thougt by MEN)
But other than their strange name, they are a good band. I like a lot of their songs too but there's a few that I just don't get!

I listen to country. I like Toby Keith, Loretta Lynn, and lots of others. My favorite band would have to be Alabama.

All kinds. My current favorite artist is Junior Senior, a hilarious and talented Dutch duo. Their songs are very upbeat and danceable.
