How can you tell something has a consciousness?

My answer is : that which creates itself creates the energy which reflects back.. in on itself to continually create itself again and again.... This is the seed – tree – fruit analogy, the fruit contains the seed, which then starts the cycle all over again.... :)

if it is an animal or a human it has a consciousness. If it is an insect it goes by instinct. Consciousness makes choices, instincts goes with survival.

answer fits to the question asked ! When it sees what it really exists and, of course, it
