I think people's expectations are higher now in general. When you see the difference 3 years used to make in games for handheld and TV systems its pretty amazing. Technology has pretty much peaked for now though. Some of the older style, less fast-paced games can still be alot of fun :)

Yes. Games can get really boring really quick, Especially if they're too short. For example, I really liked tomb raider legend, for Xbox 360, but it was only 7 hrs long, and the only reason to replay it is to get all the rewards to see her in a bikini(still trying to do that). The longest games are online games and/or rpgs like final fantasy or Enchanted arms.

I have to agree, I used to be addicted to video games. Now I hardly play them anymore. I don't really know, I guess it just depends on the person and interests.

the problem is that all the games are usually 'inspired' from older games. the only difference is that they change the storyline and improve the graphics + some extra features.

Yea I sometimes think they are too. Just try buying some that you actually think you'll like, not like other people who buy every single game that comes out.

i think video games and holly wood are not trying as hard as they can. they both seem to be in it just for quick money and thats it.
