VA medical doctors are military and Uncle Sam pays their salary. I've seen some real good ones and I've seen some I wouldn't want working on my dog. Just because they're VA doesn't always make them better.

That's a pretty broad question. Just because they are VA doesn't make them worse either. Like anything you should judge your doctor by word of mouth of others and personal experience. You can also look up the doctor's training background on the American Medical Association's Doctor Finder. Bear in mind that you may find more red tape at a VA hospital. You get the meds as part cheaper, but you'll be started on a generic and are not able to get brand name medications as easy. However, you also get an electronic medical record with built in alerts as to various quality screens you should be receiving based on national recommendations. You should see what capabilites your particular VA has in terms of imaging and procedures performed as they can vary from place to place.

what precisely do you mean, doctors are doctors, some are more efficient and hard working as well as honest than the others, you can find any type anywhere, good luck
