Yes, and you may even consider them "Oriental"

The people calling them "Pacific Islanders" Are other prejudiced asians who do not wish to include Filipinos as Asians.

They are full asians and are of Malay descent, similar to Thais, Malaysians, Indonesians, etc..

Don't you consider those people asian?

I honestly don't know why people try to separate Chinese/japs/koreans etc.. from Malays, they are all from Asia and are still closest in Race characterisrics in comparison to Caucasians and Blacks.

Definitions of oriental on the Web:

* a member of an Oriental race; the term is regarded as offensive by Asians (especially by Asian Americans)
* Asian: denoting or characteristic of the biogeographic region including southern Asia and the Malay Archipelago as far as the Philippines and Borneo and Java; "Oriental politeness"; "for people of South and East Asian ancestry the term `Asian' is preferred to `Oriental'"; "Asian ancestry"

* The term the Orient literally refers simply to the rising of the sun, being derived from the Latin word oriens. It is used to mean "the East". Similar terms are the French-derived "Levant" and "Anatolia" from the Greek anatole, two further locations for the direction in which the sun rises.

They are pacific islanders. You could say that they come from asia because thousands of years ago the people who live in all those islands had to come from somewhere, just like the eskimos.
