Yeah. Actually drank with the original guys in the band way back when. A real shame about James Honeyman Scott. Pete Farndon had already been fired, then he died the next year.
The first album and the fourth album are great must own CDs. The second's good, but it's nowhere near as good as the first one. I don't think Chrissie had her head together for the third, still unsure about the band's future, etc.
The rest of the stuff I can do without.

DEFINITELY!!!
The 80s only had 2 stand out bands. This one and Van Halen.
I loved the Pretenders. Their debut was great but Learning To Crawl was even better. They definitely peaked with Learning To Crawl. It was a gradual downhill slide after this. Chryssie Hynde has such a great voice! I love her vibrato. And she looks so COOL with that Fender Telecaster guitar.
