You can't use the ethernet port for a phone line for dial up and there is no way to convert it as you ask here. You should have a plug at the back for the phone line..this is the modem and is used for dial up. If there is no modem you will need to buy one and install it if you plan to use dial-up. If you are not sure how to do that take your computer to a computer store..they can do it for you ...the modem is $20.00 or less. You can also purchase a modem online if you like at: http://www.newegg.com
..for example, this one is about $12.00..: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16825131005

Good Luck!

Ethernet jack = network card = DSL, LAN, etc.
Phone jack = modem = dial-up internet

So... if you're saying that you have a dial-up connection, but only have a network card, then you need to buy a modem. You have to open up the computer case and install it.
