My period was supposed to come on thursday(28), it's saturday(30) now and nothing, I don't even feel like it's gonna start anytime soon. I had unprotected sex on the 7th and 15th(ovulation) day of my cycle. I also caught what appears to be a cold, just barely getting over it. Anyway, I took a Preg Test and it said negative. So I guess my question is, what else could it be? If not preganancy, was it too soon to test? Could it be that my cold delayed my cycle? I have been getting weird cramps, not regular period cramps, boobs are a little heavy, but not swollen, if that makes sense. dry mouth and weird taste, sleeping alot, but feel pretty good for being sick. I dunno, please inlighten me. Thank you! Hope I didn't confuse you all too. =)

Well, your timing is right. The best time to get pregnant is about two weeks into your cycle.. which you said you had unprotected sex around that time. Plus, you missed your period. I would wait three days, take another test or call your doctor and ask for a blood test (these are more accurate sooner than urine tests) your cold could delay your cycle, but anytime you have unprotected sex, there is a good chance you are pregnant. if the weird taste in your mouth is metallic at all (kinda like when you cut your tongue and bleed a little bit) it may be pregnancy related. I got cramps for the first few weeks I was pregnant, sometimes bad enough to bother me, but mostly just a dull ache. It sounds like you may well be pregnant, but wait at least three days before you test again. Like I said, your best bet may be the blood test at the doctors office. Best of luck

Those could all be period signs, and yes the sickness could have thrown off your period. However, when I found out that I was pregnant, I was sick with a cold and just thought that it was the cold causing those things. Your neg. test could be that you just dont have enough pregnancy hormone yet. I would wait 7 more days and test again or go to the doc. The doc. is probably the best best anyway, incase you are and you are sick they can check you out to make sure that everything is okay. When I was in my first trimester my pregnancy caused my immune system to lower really bad and I was sick all the time. I remember one time I had an inner ear infection, a sinus infection and bronchitis. It was insane and they wouldnt give me anything for it because I was pregnant. Just get some rest and take your vitamins to start feeling better and get that doc. appointment to make sure. Hope that everything works out well for you!

Could be pregnant. Sometime the test comes up neg because it's just too soon or that maybe something went wrong when you were taking the test...that's very possible. Wait a couple of days and if you still haven't started your period, have those other symptoms, take another test, then see the dr. Heavy boobs, and sleeping alot are all big signs.

Stress can be a causing factor for a late period as well as being ill, because being sick can put your body under stress. I also had abnormal cramping, when my period was late and I found out I was pregnant. I am now 12 weeks. You may want to try another Preg. test if it does not begin in a few days. Try first response I have had good luck with them I took three and they were all positive, but in the past I had taken one and had Neg. So this brand has been accurate for me so far.

Some tests say you can do them 3 days before your missed period. I am pregnant now, and with this one and my last one, I tested on the first day of my missed period and they both were negative. Then I waited a week and got a positive result. Just wait awhile.

those test usually detect about 5 days after a missed period and are 99% accurate if done correctly.
Make an appt with an OB/GYN doc

pregnancy is possible. Unprotected sex is always a factor in getting pregnant. I would wait a couple more days and test again if you have not started yet. good luck I hope you get what you want.

My Dad's Co-worker didnt think she was pregnant, took the test was negative. A friend told her to goto a OB/GYN and found out she was. I would suggest going to one because I think one symptom of pregnancy is something like a cold.
