I am thinking about going to live in Honduras sometime maybe next year. Has anyone ever studied there? Like at a university or college that teaches English classes? I was just curious if they have something like that? I would even like to study Spanish there too. I have tried looking things up on the Internet, but didn't really get the answer I was looking for.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I studied in Mexico. There are many schools that specialize in Spanish immersion. THese are not at the university level. There are not many that specialize in courses that are taught in English.

The type of schools that you will find in Tegucugalpa are like this: http://www.marrder.com/hw/travel/spanishschools.htm
These are usually very good schools and have great programs.

If you want to study at the university level then you should consider talking with your advisor at your school and see if they can set up an exchange. Not all colleges can go to all countries. At my school they main Spanish speaking countries that they work with are Mexico and Spain.

Sometimes it is hard to get all of your credits to transfer, and if your Spanish is not that strong then you may not want all of your credits transferred.

It is an amazing experience and I highly recommend it, but you may want to consider a 6 week immersion in a Spanish language school and then go from there.

Good luck!
