After hearing someone comment that all the good players in the NBA are either black or european, I started wondering who the best white american player currently playing was. The first player I thought of was Mike Bibby, but that answer was shot down because although he looks pretty pasty, he is only half white. Same thing with Jason Kidd. I only came up with Brad Miller and Wally Szcerbiak. Can you think of anyone better? For the sake of arguement, American is anyone who was born in the United States.

Steve Nash doesn't count because he was born in South Africa. You would have to make a fight for Brent Barry, the only white male to win the slam dunk contest. But this title would have to go to Kirk Hinrich and White-chocolate Jason Williams. In the future it will be Adam Morrison adn J.J Reddick.

Jason Kidd is more white than half white. He looks 3/4 to 7/8 white like me. As far as the best White American? I like Jason Williams. For one he has a ring and you can't take that from him. He also has a nice handle and style. I think the main thing that has kept him from superstar status is not having a great jump shot. He should have practiced harder. Even though his jump shot is pretty good if you took his handle and combined it with the clutch jumper of Larry Bird he would be one of the best in the NBA or ever. He also doesn't seem as dedicated as Larry Bird or Steve Nash. He turns the ball over too often.

I would love to say Dirk because he's easily the best white player in a long time but you're wanting American born. So instead of Dirk I'll have to say Kirk.

Steve Nash- he passes the bal around to his other teamates now that is a team player! a real star who passes the ball and lets his teamates shine.
