The only rule about weddings is that the bride is the only one to wear white. As a general guide, the mother of the groom wears some shade of blue, the mother of the bride wears some shade of pink (that can include shell pink, rose pink, ashes of roses -- so it isn't pink like a little girl's baby shower) and other than that, there are no rules.
In fact, even those rules don't seem to apply today -- recently saw a wedding where the bride wore white and the bridesmaids (four of them) wore black! It was unusual, but very dramatic.
So enjoy your sis' wedding. It doesn't really matter what you wear because all eyes will be on her, and that's the way it should be.

well depending on how formal the wedding is .if its at a hall get a little mini black dress and dress it up with white or red heels a bag and an over coat to match.. if its not formal then u can pull it off i know i have just defiantly wear white shoes even better nice white heeled boots , that would look amazing.

Ok, here's the problem, as you probably know wearing black to a wedding means that you don't want the marriage to happen. But if you want you could explain to your sister that you had found something really cute to wear in black, or maybe you could just get a sash that says, "I totally approve of this wedding" or something like that.

Sure, why not! I just attended wedding and I saw lots of people wearing black dress! You might want to include some colors with accessories!

If the wedding is after 5, it's no problem. But if it's before add colors or white (shoes, bag, jacket, scarf, wrap etc.) to lighten the heaviness.
If you are still not sure, ask your sister. The bridezilla is always right. :-)

Absolutely. I think these days you can wear whatever color you want, as long as it is not an all white dress. LOL. You dont want to look like the bride. Besides what color do you think most of the men will be wearing?

Girls can't. Guys can wear all black suits, but girls really can't wear all black to a wedding. It just isn't appropriate.

I dont think you should. All black is too funeralish. It would be better if you wore the black top with a different color pant or skirt.

That's cute for going out, but for a wedding, I wouldn't recommend it.
