In any one of the many Robin Hood movies there is the King who leaves to fight in the crusades and then the evil prince takes over while the King is away right? OK first are the King and the Prince related and if so how? Are Maid Marion and the King related and if so how? And are the evil Prince and Maid Marion related and if so how? And if they are why was he trying to sleep with her? And what are the King and Prince names?
Having an argument here and need to know who is right. Thanks.

The King and the evil prince are brothers. The King is in gharge of Maid Marion, No the Evil Prince is not related to Maid Marion. He is her guardian. The King's name is King Richard the lion hearted; the prince is prince John.

I am right.
The king is Richard the Lion Hearted.
His brother is Prince John.
Marion is the ward of King Richard, not related by blood but by title.
John wants to marry her to appease the people that he is a rightful heir to the thrown by succession. If Richard had an heir then that heir would be the next in line for the thrown. As he does not Marrion and John are the next in line for the thrown. So if John marries Marion then there is no question who the next King and Queen of England should be. If she marries Robin then he could be King, if Richard does not eventually have a son or daughter upon his return to England. At any rate, there are the relationships and the whys and wherefores.

well lets see if my robin hood memory serves right...
you have King Richard
Prince John (the one in only a few of the movies) who is actually the mastermind of the evil
Sherrif of notingham (played by the same guy from Harry Potter)
I believe Maid Marion is the neice of the king so that might make her and the prince cousins
as for the sheriff i dont know if he is related to any of them. he just seemed to want power when the king was gone.
