Need Help Matching Date's Dress to My Suit/Shirt/Tie?

Question

I'm going to homecoming with my date, and I want to match her dress.

She said it was cream colored, so could anyone tell me what shirt/tie colors would be best to match that? Please note that the shirt/tie will be worn under a black suit.

My suggestion would be to wear a cream colored shirt with a black tie.

If she is wearing a cream dress, and you wear a black suit, you can wear a cream shirt or something close to it, eg. tan, ecru or very pale yellow. I wouldn't wear a cream tie, for ties should contrast with shirts to avoid dullness. I wouldn't wear a black tie either, for they are for funerals, not homecomings. For a lively look, I'd wear a maroon tie. If you want a more conservative look, a blue one is fine, as long as it's not dark enough to get lost on the suit. I'd wear a solid shirt and a patterned tie. Diagonal stripes are always acceptable. Pindots or Ivy Leagues are more formal looking. Club ties are sportier. Decide upon the effect you want. There are many possibilities.

Well, I'd go with a handsome black suit with a off-white dress shirt and a black tie with gold diagonal stripes.

My son just went to his homecoming dance with his girlfriend tonight. Her dress is pink, so he wore his black suit, pink striped dress shirt and black tie with pink zig-zags. He looked awsome! But then again, he always looks great in just about anything he wears, he's really paticular about that...and his girlfriend really appreciates it, cause she's really layed back. So they make an interesting contrast to the eye, but their personalities are so alike.

If you plan on wearin an all black suit, you should wear a cream colored tie to match her dress. Also, you should get her a corsage that is red or maroonish color to compliment everything.

And ik what u advise about the black healthful and military blue blouse, that wouldnt' seem too tremendous so white healthful w/a military blue blouse? that or merely pass with the first theory. desire that permits somewhat.
