Okay let’s separate a few ideas before we get started with my answer. Being straight or gay has NOTHING to do with being a good or bad influence. Being straight or gay has NOTHING to do with the quality of your character.

You seemed to be stressing the fact that her friend was homosexual, this in and of itself should be a non-issue. His being gay would have nothing to do with the quality of person he is. You need to understand if this is what was bothering you and colored your opinion of him. If it is your issue with him being gay then you are in the wrong.

Nobody can be “turned” gay, that is a myth that has been proven false.

Now if a person is influencing your child to make bad choices it is your responsibility as a parent to intervene.

Trying to talk her into have sex at a young age, getting her to rebel in negative and destructive ways, exposing her to drugs, etc….are all things you need to be on the lookout for no matter who she is with. These are things done by misguided and angry people of all sexual orientations (and some of the common pitfalls of youth)

You should protect your daughter from harm but I think you may actually be harming your daughter. It depends on her age but it sounds like she is old enough to own her own personality. Your daughter has a right to be herself, no matter what that may be. If you hold her down, how will she ever find herself?

I'm not going into all the issues I can find in your post. Only one comment. No one can turn your daughter gay. Either she is or she isn't.
