I feel that letting your children trick or treat is a very personal decision. I will admit I would like it if my children didn't want to go out but I would never take that away from them. You have to be careful. You can go to the national website and check to see if there is a pedophile in the neighborhood where you trick or treat. This is exactly what we do and we just skip the house. Here is the website: www.familywatchdog.us

Hope this helps!

Some people are silly.
Most people are not silly enough to take Halloween away from their children.
If you live in a safe neighborhood--trick-or treat.
If you don't live in a safe neighborhood--have a party, or drive to a safer neighborhood.
It is a pagan holiday. So is Christmas!

BTW: Jerry is lying. He's spreading the oldest urban myth on the planet.

Alot of children today through their Churches are learning the very real dangers of celebrating Pagan rituals such as Halloween therefore they are choosing to not expose themselves to such darkness.
Not to mention Halloween is like open season to Pedaphiles.

In my neighborhood, more people are having parties than trick or treating. I think people find the trick or treating now a days a little unsafe from the days they did it as children.

The parties seem just as much fun, but I know I liked running from house to house.

That's one if you call it a holiday off the calender. Way too dangerous for kids to be on the streets after dark and taking candy from strangers and you never know what they put in them i know my cousin when we where kids went trick n' treating and he got a apple from one house and he bit into it and had a straight razor in it lucky for him it just cut his tongue.

I did not hear or read. But if that is the news, it is a good one. We must not feed our children garbage and must not chaet them by creating Santa Clause and we must refrain from "original sin" as the God Most Merciful forgave both Adam and Eve for committing this sin. Every child born is absolutley innocent and carry no sin. For more deatiails about Adam, Eve, Mary and Jesus (Peace be upon them), read Quran which is the only divine book which is protected letter by letter and word by word in its original language. It is dust and rust free for last 1450 years. Please read only authentic translation of its meanings if you don't know Arabic e.g. By Marmuduk Pikhthal (An Ex-Christian) and by Muhammad Asad (An ex-Jew ish scholar)

'O', please people. Let the kids have some fun. Just be safe about it and don't buy into the myth that our neighbors are all out to get us.

There are more good guys than bad guys no matter what they say.
