I like his "straight talk", he usually doesn't vote party line, he votes with his heart and mind. I am very disappointed that he continues to support the Iraq war It truly is an unfortunate, protracted battle.

I used to like McCain and would have voted for him in 2000, if Rove's smear campaign against him hadn't been so effective.

But now I see McCain pandering to the extremist Christian right of the Republican Party to lock down their votes in 2008. I don't think he really believe what they do and it bothers me that he is trading his values for votes.

I would have more respect for him if had not stabbed Bush in the back he put his politics before the good of are country and I won't vote for him in 08

I like Sen. McCain for the reasons you listed... also, he's an ex POW and Naval Officer. I'd really like to hear HIS opinions about SECDEF Rumsfield !!

He also doesn't seem to be swayed by polls... he's smart.

i wanted him twice for president....now that he stuck with party lines in this administration, he is getting boring to me.....He used to stand up for what he believed!!!! Lost interest with him now
