Get this, there is 24-Fitness Center in the the area that I live in. Yet these workout people cannot park, a distance away, they block traffic waiting for parking near the Center. WHAT ARE THEY TO DOING IN THE CENTER--WORKING-OUT????, THEY CAN SPEND A HOUR ON THE TREADMILL OR OLYMPIO, BUT CAN'T WALK 50 FEET TO THE CENTER.

I used to feel the same way, but now I have simplified the whole parking lot situation. I always park far away from the store where no one else is even attempting to park. I call myself getting a little exercise, and at the same time being less crabby!

I do NOT look for parking. My friends actually joke about it. I pull in the parking lot, first space available, get out and start walking. I'd rather be making progress than driving around in circles, even if I have to park a long way from the store and walk. I'm not one to shy away from a little exercise anyway. I cannot stand it!

What pisses me off are the people who leave the shopping carts all over the parking lot (probably the same ones who drive around for the closest spot) Again, they can walk ALL over the store for an hour but can't walk 10 feet to put the cart where it belongs.

Yeah, that bothers me, and so does parking at the door and in handicapped spots
When I worked at Walmart, people would always park right in front of the store. The greeter would always tell them nicely they needed to move their car, but they either ignored him, or were rude in return. One day, we had an emergency, and two fire trucks and a paramedic, arrived, only to find a car parked right out front, in the fire lane. I watched, as one of the fire trucks pulled right up beside the drivers side door of the car, and the other fire truck pulled right up to the rear bumper of the car, and the Medic truck pulled right up to the front bumper of the car, facing it, just as the customer came out. She started screaming threats to the paramedic, who calmly told her he had no time for her bullshit, that someone inside needed him, and that she might consider not parking in that area again, if she didn't want the same thing to happen again.
It amazes me that people are so selfish and self absorbed to think that they can park in areas made for emergencies, and for handicapped people. This is a real sore spot for me. Like you said, they're going inside to walk a mini marathon. So, what's the deal about parking at the friggin door? Makes me mad...it really does.

The thing that make me crazy, is when I try to back out of a parking space and the people walk behind the car, like they are oblivious to cars being parked out there!

Well I'm one of those people cause I have a baby in a carrier that I have to lug inside the store. But when I was pregnant it totally pissed me off when this girl who wasn't pregnant cut me off to park in the expectant mother parking before I got there. I was so mad I left and went to another store.

Here's my excuse- I am carrying a carseat with a 17lb baby who's sound asleep. I want to find a cart to put the carseat in right away, because it's heavy, and a bumpy ride for the baby. Now if I'm by myself, I don't mind the walk, most of the time.

i'll park a ways away. i don't care approximately parking close. bypass away those areas for the elderly, pregnant, or those with childrens. I easily have 2 stable legs and excercise is in no way a bad component.
